Incremental Rotary Encoders

 

ROD rotary encoders have integrated bearings and a solid shaft. The encoder shaft is connected with the measured shaft through a separate rotor coupling. The coupling compensates axial motion and misalignment (radial and angular offset) between the encoder shaft and measured shaft. This relieves the encoder bearing of additional external loads that would otherwise shorten its service life.

In the following tables, preferred versions are indicated in bold.
